The Start

Hello!
So, my first blog! I created it so hopefully people would be able to read my poetry, and enjoy reading it! I will put poem's in as many blog post's as I can.

The following poem is one I wrote a while ago, but is still my favourite. My writing style is definitely nature, as you will see in my poem:

I lay down on stubbled grass,
Looking up at the sky's empty space,
A border now comes into view,
An illuminated city lace.

Now I paint a shooting star,
Ploughing through the night,
Tearing apart the dusty clouds,
Shooting with all it's might.

Next is jeweled faces,
Sewn on cloud's inky grey,
Angels resting in the enchanted heavens,
So silently they lay.

Then is crumbled diamond gems,
Otherwise known as stars,
Freckled on the velvet sky,
Like a traffic of beaming cars.

And just as my portrait is ready for show,
The sun burns a hole in my page,
I realise the dawn is resurrected,
And the sun is bursting with rage.

I like that poem better than any of my other ones, as when I was writing it, I imagined a canvas, and I was drawing the midnight sky.
